Day 01: Yangon Arrival (Car) D

Arrival Yangon (any time), Our TAM representative will meet and greet at airport then transfer to hotel. Welcome meeting with TAM experienced guide and follow by the welcome dinner at outside local restaurant. Overnight at hotel.

Day 02: Yangon (Car) B ,L

As an introducing of old Yangon means “End of Enemy” once called Rangoon by British, we bring you to the old down town area which date back 19th & 20th century colonial Era. Begins with an orientation walk starting from near the Sule pagoda then pass through old colonial buildings built by British. Then proceed to central train station and take the circular train ride, the backyard of city, about fourty five minutes. After getting off from the train  you will go  to the local restaurant for lunch. In the late afternoon visit the Chaukhtatgyi Reclining Buddha, one of the most beautiful reclining Buddha images in Myanmar with 70 m long. Before sunset time, we will be at the Shwedagon pagoda which is one of the wonders of the world and the most venerated Buddhist monument in Myanmar. You will witness religiosity of Myanmar people, architectural masterpiece as well as the activities of local people at the pagoda. Then transfer back to hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 03: Yangon -Bagan (Car & Flight & Sanctuary Retreats Cruise) B, L, D

Cruise Embarkation point: Bagan

This morning leaving for airport to take a flight to Bagan, an ancient capital from 11th to 13th century and birth place of Buddhism.  Arrived Bagan and morning sightseeing starts by going to the mound to see the beautiful panoramic view of Bagan. Then bring you to the local village by walking around there and learn the way of life of the people. Transfer to your cruise for the embarkation around noon then enjoy lunch on board. After lunch on board, we will visit Kayminga pagoda complex to see the different architecture of the stupas. After, visit the Ananda Temple which has architectural masterpiece of Bagan and regarded by folklore as one of the most beautiful temples in Myanmar. Enjoy the sunset over the Bagan plains and admire the light change on the pagodas as they exude antiquity and mystery. Finally the sun sets behind the hills on the far side of the Irrawaddy River, filling the sky with a reddish glow, a truly magic moment.

A welcome briefing and champagne reception will be hosted in the Kansi Panorama Lounge before a candlelit sandbank dinner is served with the backdrop of the twinkling lights of Bagan. Overnight on board Ananda sanctuary cruise.

Day 04: Sailing from Bagan (Cruise) B , L , D

Choose between an early morning balloon tour (an additional charge applies, please book in advance) or visit the bustling local market of Nyaung U. The daily market is where the farmers meet to buy and sell a variety of goods, ranging from fruit and vegetables, cloths and handicrafts. Next, on to the great golden Shwezigon Pagoda which is said to contain important relics of the Gautama Buddha, two bones and a copy of a tooth. We will then return to the ship and start sailing upstream towards Sagaing during which a variety of on board activities will be offered including a Longyi (sarong) and thanaka (cosmetic) demonstration, and a talk on Myanmar.  A delicious dinner in the Talifoo Restaurant will then follow. Overnight on board Ananda sanctuary cruise.

Day 05: Path to Mandalay (Cruise) B, L , D

Enjoy a back of house tour and cooking class with our Executive Chef as we cruise the Irrawaddy. In the afternoon visit the pagoda sprinkled Sagaing Hill, an important religious and monastic center, home to some 554 monasteries and 6,000 monks and nuns. Here we will visit a Monastic school where you will have the opportunity to meet some of the residents and understand the teachings of Buddhism. Afterwards, take in the views from the top of the hill on the terraces of the Soon U Ponya Shin Pagoda which are truly breathtaking.

Amarapura, was once known as ‘The City of Immortals’. Today, the leisurely ‘clack-clack’ from the looms of the cotton and silk weavers has replaced the noisy bustle of this former capital.

Visit the U Bein Bridge, a spectacular place to enjoy the sunset. This long teak bridge snakes across the Taungthaman Lake. After sunset, return to the Sanctuary Ananda. Overnight on board Ananda sanctuary cruise.

Day 06: Mandalay (Car) B, L,

Breakfast is served afterward as a tour of Mandalay starts visit to Mahamuni Pagoda, one of Myanmar’s most religious monuments housing the revered Mahamuni Image. Then learning and discovering the famous handicraft of Mandalay such as wood carving, tapestry making and gold leave making workshop. Transfer to the restaurant for lunch before check in hotel.

In the late afternoon bring you to Golden Palace Monastery then Kuthodaw Pagoda (Maha Lawka Marazein) built by King Mindon. Drive up to the historically and religiously famous site, Mandalay Hill to see the bird eye view of the city then back to hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 07: Mandalay - Heho- Pindaya (Car & Flight) B, L, D

Shan state which is the biggest state and home for majority Shan race and more than thirty minorities tribes of Myanmar. To Explore highlights around of the state, take a morning flight to Heho. After arriving at Heho drive about one and half hours to a small beautiful town called Pindaya, perched on the bank of the lake. Visit the amazing Pindaya cave which is a huge natural lime stone cave where hundreds of Buddha images in various sizes and shapes are installed since the 11th century. Lunch at Green Tea Restaurant.  Before drive out from Pindaya, visit small Shan umbrella & Shan paper workshop.  Depending on the season of the year, on the way to Kalaw, the hill station town, the colorful scenery from the local’s vegetable farms is incredible to enjoy as a view. Arrive Kalaw then check in hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 08: Kalaw - Loikaw (Car) B, L, D

Visit the small colorful market then seeing around the small town before dive to Loikaw, the Land of Silver, for about five hours.  Loikaw is a hidden site amongst 7 States of Myanmar and home for the Kayah Race who are very famous for their elegant neck by wearing the brass rings around their neck according to their culture. Enjoy the beautiful scenery of plantation, villages of tribal people on the way as part of the experience of the country side car ride plus the photo opportunity of beautiful scenery. Arrive at Loikaw and check in at hotel .Overnight at hotel.

Day 09: Loikaw (Car) B, L, D

Today is a day by spending time at the village for our authentic local village experience. We depart early morning to “San Bwinn” village (about half an hour drive) in order to interact with some of the Karen ethnic group before they go to the farm. Enjoy walking through the village. You will get insight into the unspoiled culture and traditional life-style of Karan tribe. Ladies dressed in their richly decorated attire with the brass rings round their necks. Lunch at the village. The best time to see them also by the time they come back from their farm. In the evening back to Loikaw and visit the most famous of Loikaw Taung Kwe Zeti scenically built on a hillock overlooking the vast expanse of the environs. You can watch desolately at the pilgrims and enjoy the marvelous landscape and sunset view from the top. Back to hotel and enjoy dinner at there.  Overnight at Hotel in Loikaw.

Day 10: Loikaw- Phae Khone - Mawbi - Sagar - Inle (Car& Boat) B, L, D

Trying the different mode of transports around the country sometimes make you more memorable of the trip. Today we will travel Kayah State to Shan State across the lake by our private transport. Drive about half an hour to Phe Khone, small town which is a gate way to the lake. Once there proceeding journey by long -tailed boat through the lake. On the way visit Samkar, a famous archaeological site of Inle Lake. We will stop for lunch break at Samkar old ruined of temples and sightseeing around Samkar and the ruined Shan stupas.  Take another three hour boat ride to reach northern part of the Inle Lake where hotel is located. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 11: Inle (Boat) B, L,

Inle Lake, which is famous for the leg-rower fishermen, home for the Intha tribe. Intha are the minority group and live on the lake since 12th century AD. Our sightseeing begins by Paung Daw Oo Pagoda, floating gardens of vegetables especially tomatoes, Ngaphae Chaung monastery which is a typical Shan monastery with ancient Buddha statues. Proceeding to traditional cheroot (cigars) and Silver Smith workshop then on the way back to hotel pass through the villages built on bamboo stilt on the lake. Overnight at hotel.

Day 12: Inle - Indein (Boat) B, L,

Your private long -tailed boat waits to bring you to the five days market if match according to the lunar calendar. Taking the boat ride to the western part of the lake for the Indein pagoda complex which is a really incredible site. Along the short beautiful bamboo forest and over 1000 Shan style pagodas from XVI century. Lunch at local restaurant then visit lotus weaving factory and take a canoe boat ride and visit the village on the lake. Return to hotel. Dinner and overnight at Hotel.

Day 13: Inle -Heho-Yangon (Car & Flight) B, L, D

After breakfast transfer to Heho airport and take about an hour flight back to Yangon. Arrive Yangon around noon and move forward to the restaurant for lunch. Check in hotel. After taking a short break for the last minutes your wish list & shopping opportunities to bring back home from the Yangon famous Scott market (Bogyoke Aung San market) before dinner at restaurant.

Day 14: Yangon Departure (Car Transfer only) B, - , -

Transfer to the airport for the international departure flight (anytime).
